Frequently
Asked Questions

Answers to the most commonly asked questions we receive for fishing charters

How does hiring a captain work?

We offer private charters where the boat is exclusively yours (or your group's). You get personal attention from beginning to end with trips customized to your preferences. Our state-of-the-art fleet and knowledgeable, friendly, experienced captain and mates provide easy walk-on/walk-off service, so you don't worry about anything!

What should I bring?

You should wear weather-appropriate clothing as well as sunscreen, snacks, a cooler for your catches, and anything else you want.
*NO GLASS*

What should I NOT bring?

Don't bring any glass, overly large
body-sized coolers, or anything that would take up too much space on the boat.

What do we provide?

  • Water
  • Sports drinks
  • Soft drinks
  • Fish cleaning services
🎣

Can we keep our fish?

Absolutely! As long as your catch is within regulations, you are free to keep it. We also offer fish cleaning for you.

🌊

What kind of fishing
will we be doing?

This depends on your desires and whether they match up with what is possible based on the season and/or weather. You can ask to hunt for something specific or just leave it up to the captain!

👥

How many people can I bring?

We can take up to six people on the boat. Whether you're sailing solo or in a group, we'll make sure you'll have an unforgettable trip!

💵

Do I tip, and how much?

It's customary to tip at least 20%, mate! Unlike most of the service industry, we guide you through unique experiences for 4, 8, 10, and 12 hours at a time, which is very different from a brief touchpoint of service.

I'm not sure if I will get seasick. What should I do?

If you're unsure whether you are prone to motion sickness, assume that you are.
Take Dramamine (Meclizine) or other motion sickness medicine 12 hours in advance and AGAIN 30 minutes before
the trip! This will ensure that everyone has a great time.
